HIV
Human immunodeficiency virus, commonly known by the initialism HIV, formally known as HTLV-III and lymphadenopathy-associated virus, is a retrovirus that primarily infects vital components of the human immune system such as CD4+ T cells, macrophages and dendritic cells.
